ÜBER MICH

Ich wuchs im Bayerischen Alpenvorland auf, studierte Film- und Theaterwissenschaften und Romanistik in London, Berlin und Madrid und schloss mein Magisterstudium mit einer Arbeit über die Performance von Weiblichkeit und Männlichkeit in den Filmen von Pedro Almodóvar ab. Nach einem Masterstudium in Kreativem Dokumentarfilm an der Universidad Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona und einer einjährigen Kameraausbildung an der Filmarche Berlin arbeitete sie in zahlreichen Dokumentarfilmproduktionen, als Theaterpädagogin und -regisseurin, lehrte Sprachen und Film und realisierte Kurzfilme, TV-Reportagen und Festival-Dokumentarfilme.

Mit meinem jüngsten Werk - dem hybriden Dokumentarfilm ANIMA – die Kleider meines Vaters, der 2022 Premiere hatte, gewann ich zahlreiche nationale und internationale Preise und war auf Festivals im In- und Ausland vertreten.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Bavarian Alpine foothills and studied Film and Theatre Studies as well as Roman Languages in London, Berlin, and Madrid, completing my Master’s degree with a thesis on the Performance of femininity and masculinity in the films of Pedro Almodóvar. After earning a Master’s in Creative Documentary Filmmaking at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and completing a one-year cinematography program at the Filmarche Berlin, she worked on numerous documentary film productions, as a theatre educator and director, taught languages and film, and created short films, TV reports, and festival documentaries.

My most recent work—the hybrid documentary ANIMA – My Father’s Clothes, which premiered in 2022—has won numerous national and international awards and was featured at festivals both in Germany and abroad.
